The authors, Jo Wilson and Rea Reason, have extensive experience of research and practice having worked as Specialist Teachers, Educational Psychologists and University Lecturers.

 

Jo Wilson and Rea Reason are the authors of Direct Phonics and Jo Wilson is the author of PAT (Phonological Awareness Training).

 

Rea Reason is the author of Helping Children with Reading and Spelling published by Routledge and both worked on devising the Phonological Assessment Battery (PhAB) published by NFER.

 

Dr. Reason was a member of the Expert Advisory Group who worked closely with Sir Jim Rose to publish the influential national report entitled Identifying and Teaching Children and Young People with Dyslexia and Literacy Difficulties (DCSF and DfE, 2009).
